Where: At Kamloops Centre for Therapy; #3 – 1315 Summit Drive (Tudor Village), Kamloops
When: Every Wednesday of the month from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm
All members participating have attended “INSITE:” a six day program that helps people to understand the course and cycle of addiction.
“INSITE” is for family members whose relatives and spouses have attended EDGEWOOD addiction treatment center.
EDGEWOOD is located in Nanaimo and Vancouver, B.C.
The members of this group all share the same concerns, personal relationship problems, difficulty setting boundaries, a struggle with expression of feelings, as well as giving up control. By conveying to others our problems and feelings, we find that they too share these feelings; we find that we are not alone!
When you’re living close to someone with an addiction, you’re likely to develop your own ways to deal with the pain in an unhealthy way. Unless you take action, that change can persist long after treatment and recovery. Unhealthy behaviour and unresolved feelings can linger. Dealing with addiction means dealing with everyone.
